Hardy Chicago is a gold standard of figs.  It is very, very hardy compared to most figs and will survive Winters that kills back others that are older and larger.  It's great in a pot or in ground and is very versatile.  It can fruit with less sunlight than most others based on personal experience.  This is just a great standby of a fig that is hard to beat, even with the fanciest varieties.  It's like the Godfather of the Italian Mt Etna family.
