Found growing next to a B&B in Maryland, this fig from Teramo, Italy has produced early crops here of cherry flavored fruit.  I enjoy it and you should too!
 
This tree is currently dormant and growing in a large tallboy treepot.  Picture shown is not of the actual variety; example only.
